February 27th, 2010 - 133 Miles
The Copilots met up at a local eatery around noon that day and shook the frost off from the waning winter. After warm greetings all around, they headed East on Route 66, to OK 177S, for the town of Shawnee, Oklahoma and made a stop at the motorcycle shop in that town. Now this is not your normal shop, it is a huge conglomeration of all makes, models, colors, and types of motorcycles, parts, and accessories. A motorcyclist's dream for this part of the region. After a a couple of hours in there, it was time for a late lunch and the group stopped by a burger joint down the road.
From there, it was decided to take a longer route back home, taking OK 177S to OK 9W and then on to I-35N back to OKC. It was a great to get out again with friends and get some miles on the bikes!
Until next ride, keep your knees in the breeze!

The Copilots came together for an in town ride to check out tires for Preacher. It did not hurt to get to look at the different bikes either. We sat on and looked at everything from a Kawasaki 2000, 1700, 900 to the new Triumphs. It was a good day on the bikes with great friends and fair weather!

The Copilots got together for a solemn purpose, to travel to Shawnee and have tires installed on Preacher's bike. Ok, maybe not a solemn purpose but it was a reason to ride just the same! Good times with good friends.

Ok, so I know Oklahoma has weather mood swings, but this is crazy. Yesterday, the weather was 72 degrees as I was heading East on old Route 66 towards Wellston for a quick out and back ride; just needed to get some riding in. Today, the day of our Roman Nose Trip, the first day of Spring? Snowstorm. Oklahoma. Go figure.
